Black Diamond, Inc. is a leading provider of outdoor recreation equipment and active lifestyle products. 	While the company’s roots go back 54 years to Chouinard Equipment (1957-1989), Black Diamond Equipment was founded in 1989 by Peter Metcalf and his team as an employee-owned business, and it became publicly traded as Black Diamond, Inc. in May 2010.
